The Met Costume Institute Gala is in like a week, okay not quite, but like 10 days. This year the theme is The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion. Marc Jacobs will serve as this year’s Honorary Chair, and co-chairs include Kate Moss, Justin Timberlake, and Anna Wintour. In light of this I'm posting my favourite outfits from last year's ball where the theme was “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy.” I can't wait to see what everybody wears, and apparently Kate Moss is going all out! With all my excitement, one would think I was going to this event. But I'm not. Again, the invite is yet to arrive.

I'm guessing it got lost in the post. Oh well. Some of our favourites gathered at the Chanel and Tribeca Film Festival Artists’ Dinner, and they looked, well they looked pretty damn hot. Feast your eyes.

I'm a big Kate Bosworth fan so this is just a quick post on her Coachella festival outfit changes. I've never been as I personally don't think I'm 'hip' enough yet, but Kate schooled them hipsters on hip. YES SHE DID.

I'm very intrigued to what Milla Jovovich actually does. She seemed to be at every show during Paris Fashion Week. It says on IMDB that she is an actress, supermodel, fashion designer, singer and public figure. After more research I found out that she used to be a model, then became an actor, she chucked a bit of singing in there, started her fashion line with Carmen Hawk called Jovovich-Hawk but it 'ceased operations in 2008. So, I was very wrong, Milla in fact does a lot, AND she finds time to go to fashion shows. DEEP.

BALMANIA....Need I say more? EVERYONE is wearing Balmain, from the fashion magazine editors to Michael Jackson. We are confined, surrounded by these sharp-shouldered creatures.

When Christophe Decarnin basically got Paris partying with his Michael Jackson inspired strong-shouldered jackets in his Spring 09 collection, it was pretty exciting, I can't lie. This collection inspired the 80's comeback of the Fall 09 season, where there are not many collections you will see without these massive shoulders. So, having basically pioneered a movement, in these times of recession chic, you can understand why Christophe Decarnin stuck to his guns when delivering basically the same thing again in his Fall 09 collection. It will keep his loyal followers happy, and perhaps even attract some new ones. SO Balmania will live on for yet another season.
Basically, we are STUCK....in the 80's. Does this bother you my lunchers? If so, let's start a petition...if not, let's join the balmania!
