So. The image of Anne Hathaway at the Golden Globes 2009 is currently my screensaver. It made me nostalgic for awards season, and so for you, my lunchers, I have compiled my favourite Globes/Oscars dresses of the 2009 season. As Rachel Zoe tells us in her programme, this is the most stressful time for stylists, but let's be honest she killed it both times with Anne Hathaway and with Cameron Diaz at the Globes. Although many hated it, I am obsessed with Reese Witherspoon's Rodarte dress at the Oscars, I love Amy Adams in Oscar, but i LOVE LOVE LOVE Drew Barymore's whole look. I just feel it. You know?

MICHAEL JACKSON (1958-2009)

Looking at all these photos, I am amazed at how much the collections of today are inspired by him. Balmain? Givenchy? Look no further than this man. Michael Jackson even wore Balmain and Givenchy clothes during his last days. Here are some iconic looks from his much too short life/career. Having not lived in the 80's, it is so bizarre for me to see how much of an influence one performer has had on fashion today. I mean, MILITARY JACKETS, SEQUINS! I tell you lunchers, I have been schooled in fashion history these past few days.
